Exchange Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• You will manage the team responsible for the firm’s digital asset platform (spot crypto market) operations.
• Develop the rules and policies for secondary market trading and custody operations. (Ensuring investor assets are safe, and transactions are conducted in accordance with relevant rules and regulations).
• Monitor the trading system, ensuring the trading environment is transparent, fair, orderly, and efficient.
• Support the development of and supervise the execution of trading rules.
• Regularly audit operations to ensure compliance and suggest improvements to senior management.
• Analyse internal data to identify key business development opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the technology team to improve platform services and procedure.
• Support the integration between internal and vendor systems, ensuring seamless workflows.

Qualifications

• Compulsory: Has traded or hodl digital assets on any centralised exchange, either personally or for an institution.
• Degree holder in Business, Accounting and Finance, IT or a related discipline with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role e.g., hedge fund operations, crypto/blockchain, fintech, project implementation consultancy or brokerage/exchange.
• Working understanding of digital asset / crypto products including but not limited to spot market, order types, fiat on/off ramps.
• Demonstrable experience with designing workflows and coordinating tasks with IT, Finance and Compliance teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word or Google equivalents; task automation / coding knowledge would be beneficial.
• Attention to detail, highly motivated with a “can do” attitude, ability to multi-task with a proven track record.
