Assistant Manager, Technical Support

Incorporated on 16th August 2022, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd. General (or Official) Distributor of smart vehicles in Malaysia & Thailand.

Our business scope encompasses the distribution of New Energy Vehicles, provision of EV charging solutions, electronic parts and mobility solutions, finance and insurance services, retailing of accessories and merchandise, monitoring data services for customers as well as the latest technology in EV design and manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Led and managed the Technical Support & Training Department.
• To do localization by developing, managing, maintaining, and improving the Manuals (Service Repair and body Manual, Wiring Manual) and user manuals (Owner’s Manual, Service Booklet, Warranty Manuals, Quick Guide, Emergency Rescue Manual)
• Provide Technical Support during the company campaigns e.g., service day, launching, etc.
• To prepare Technical Bulletins to assist dealer repair methods.
• Provide technical support to dealers virtual and/or actual on major quality issues.
• Establish training programs for Technical and Soft Skills areas.
• Consider the opportunities for differing forms of training, including eLearning, Virtual Classroom, and face-to-face training methods.
• Prepare required training materials, devices, tools, equipment, and venue.
• Organize, conduct, and report on training that is planned and executed.
• Evaluate training and apply results to future training sessions.
• Develop, improve, and manage the training facilities, equipment, materials, etc.
• Develop, Manage, and maintain the Power Battery Management System
• Manage, maintain, and monitor the diagnosis scan tools and system.

Job Requirements

• Applicant from the Automotive Industry is a must for this position.
• Degree in Automotive / Automotive Engineering or an equivalent
• Minimum 6 years experience in the Technical automotive industry
• Experienced in Automotive Technical Training, Technical Support, and Technical Service (Engineering) Information (Wiring Diagrams and Technical Vehicle information).
• Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Good presentation skills and ability to communicate well in front of a crowd.
• Good understanding of EV technical methodology e.g., powertrain, charging component, etc.
• Able to travel outstation (40% - 60%).
