About the job

  • Full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting in compliance with relevant applicable accounting and taxation standards, Companies Act, Central Bank, statutory law as well as any other relevant reporting requirements.
  • This includes the preparation/review of management accounts, consolidation, financial analysis, submissions to BNM, MAS etc and other regulatory reporting requirements, quarterly & annual statutory financial statements, budget and any other accounting and finance related work in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
  • Cash flow management, budgetary control and undertake any financial information review, compilation, analysis to provide updates and support to the management as well as business insights
  • Be the point of contact and manage the auditors, tax agents, bankers, regulators and any other stakeholders
  • Manage the day-today finance operations and supervise team members to ensure tasks are completed in an accurate, timely manner and at the same time ensure high levels of motivation, morale and teamwork in the team. Provide support to the management team when required.
  • Support and implement process improvement, efficiency, standardisation and simplification activities within the team
  • Getting involved in cross-functional meetings (with operations, risk, fraud, compliance, treasury etc) and perform ad-hoc duties when required

To be successful

  • Degree in Accountancy and Finance and Professional Accounting qualified
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in accounting/finance. External audit background and experience within the Financial Services industry are added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge on accounting (notably IFRS9) and tax principles and relevant statutory requirements are highly required, with proven experience.
  • Agility & ability to thrive in demanding and fast-paced environment requires a high degree of deadlines-driven productivity and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Meticulous & attentive to details whilst being strongly analytical, self-motivated and proactive for improvement and problem solving
  • Ability to give strategic advice, financially and identify risk and ways to mitigate those risks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build connection and have regards for people around the job
