Responsibilities

Leading the Finance Department with full spectrum accounting, finance, tax planning and statutory reporting.
Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Complete monthly closing, including month end journal entries and prepare financial statements – Income Statement & Balance Sheet.
Monthly review/analysis of profit & loss & presentation of results to key management.
Develop and manage the monthly forecast and annual budget.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Effective cash flow planning & management.
Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Liaison with banks, company secretary, external auditors, Inland Revenue Board and government organizations to ensure fulfilment of all compliances.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification. PA/ACCA/MIA certification is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of managerial role in finance or accounting.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting principles, financial reporting standards (MFRS), and tax regulations.
A team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage/develop a team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Independent and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
