Responsibilities:

  • To assist n the development of sustainability framework to address current issues in the organisation or industry such as energy use, resource conservation, pollution reduction, waste management, use of environmentally safe materials, eco-landscape, education, building design, management of energy, water, air and land and safety measures put in place
  • To assist in the development of sustainable organisational policies and practices
  • To assist to implement organisational processes and policy changes
  • To assist in the compilation of ESG data using the Convene ESG online platform
  • To review data to ensure submission is correct and up-to-date.
  • Jointly review content write-up to ensure clarity, conciseness, and encapsulate all initiatives that we have put in place
  • Ensure the sustainability report is produced on a timely manner and according to local regulation and global standards such as but not limited to, Bursa Sustainability Reporting Guideline, the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standard, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), FTSE4Good, etc.
  • Research and keep updated to regulatory compliance requirements and industry developments in relation to sustainability that will impact company operations and engage with relevant departments to ensure compliance, when necessary
  • To monitor the ESG rating/scoring by measuring, drafting and implementing sustainability efforts and indicators e.g. FTSE4Good, MSCI, S&P, Sustainalytics, etc. within the business context.
  • Complete paperwork and presentation materials to the leadership team on matters pertaining to sustainability update.
  • Perform ancillary documentation needed for the day-to-day operational task required for the execution of the Company’s sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in specific areas of Sustainability/Risk Management/ Environmental Management/ any related fields.
  • Proficient in Bursa Malaysia, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and GRI Reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with local ESG rating indexes e.g., FTSE4Good. Knowledge on MSCI and Sustainalytics will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate passion for sustainability and a strong desire to make positive impact to the industry practices.
