Logistic Coordinator

We are seeking an innovative Logistic Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting and executing logistics operations within the Drilling department, ensuring the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the supply chain. This position requires exceptional organizational and coordination skills, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize logistics processes and contribute to the department's overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute logistics operations, including transportation and shipping, to meet departmental needs.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other key teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Arrange transportation and shipping of goods, select appropriate carriers, and negotiate favorable rates and service agreements.
• Liaise with third-party logistics (3PL) providers on shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation, ensuring full compliance with regulations and requirements.
• Continuously monitor freight forwarder performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Track and trace shipments to provide real-time delivery updates and proactively address any issues or delays.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and freight forwarders to resolve logistics-related inquiries, issues, and claims.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including invoices, receipts, and shipping records.
• Expedite all open purchase orders to ensure the on-time delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to prioritize and expedite critical shipments.
• Assist in optimizing logistics processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with the logistics team, projects, and operations teams to identify suitable vendors for vessel chartering, bunkering, and marine-related operations support.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics coordination, ideally within the oil and gas industry or a related sector.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple logistics activities simultaneously.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures, including transportation and shipping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling logistics documentation and records.
• Strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve logistics-related issues.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous material handling is desirable.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to logistics and marine operations.
