Position based in Petaling Jaya

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Projects – lead in idea development, project management, review formulation, materials and processes, product improvement / cost optimization, conducting shelf life studies whenever necessary for innovation or renovation projects.
  • Provides technical support to Supply Chain team on plant troubleshooting, process or machine changes, BCP and alternative material program.
  • Leverages internal & external key partners and global / regional R&D to ensure project delivery on time in full
  • Provides coaching and supervision to a team of Technologist(s) and Technician(s) to promote engagement and continuous behavioral, technical and leadership development.
  • Proactively develops self and team awareness of food trends, innovative ingredients and technologies to facilitate the development of new and / or improved products and/or processes. Keeps up to date with food safety and regulatory standards to ensure compliance.

Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:

  • Bachelor's degrees in Food Science/Food Technology or related science.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in food manufacturing industry, especially from sauces or simple meals industries.
  • Familiar with general food processes, food safety requirements, local Food Act & Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Halal requirements
  • No food inhibitions or major food allergies
  • Competent with MS Office applications, BOM system, and basic financial costing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Able to independently manage team and stakeholders to deliver joint targets
