The Position

Role Purpose

As the Medical Lead, you will be accountable for driving and overseeing the development of medical strategies across various disease areas. Your role includes supporting the implementation and execution of medical initiatives that align with both disease strategies and commercial objectives. You will lead, coach, and develop medical expertise to foster high performance within the agile organization. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in delivering value to clinician customers and contributing to the RDMY strategy by mobilizing and leveraging medical and scientific capabilities and expertise.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will

  • Provide leadership, coaching, management, and development for the medical team and enhance medical expertise for RDMY.
  • Oversee the development of the medical strategy and plan across various disease areas, ensuring alignment with the overall disease strategy, commercial strategy, and global/regional medical strategy while providing medical vision and direction.
  • Oversee and support the medical team in the implementation of the medical plan and initiatives:
I) Develop and maintain a KOL engagement framework, ensuring consistent alignment of KOL engagement standards across various disease areas.
II) Create an overarching medical education framework and ensure alignment of medical education programs across different disease areas.
III) Monitor and analyze medical affairs activities to evaluate their effectiveness in meeting KPIs and other relevant metrics.
IV)Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration within agile organizational structures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in medical affairs, providing strategic input and support for business planning, innovation projects, market access initiatives, patient access strategies, and cross-disease area initiatives.
  • Foster and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders across all therapeutic areas to gather medical and scientific insights that support both medical and commercial initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with cross-functional teams and both regional and global stakeholders to represent the overall medical affairs function.

Who You Are

You are someone who is/have:

  • Experience in clinical, medical and laboratory discipline is required.
  • At least 5-7 years of diverse medical experience in relevant disease states or clinical practice (i.e., Cardiology, Infectious Disease, Women’s Health, Oncology, Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, etc.)
  • Detailed technical/clinical knowledge of disease portfolio, patient journey and solid knowledge of healthcare marketplace in Malaysia and Brunei.
  • Strong ability to work in matrix and collaborative environment
  • Preferable with coaching and mentoring experience.
