Job Description:

1. Act as the primary point of contact for all customer quality concerns, ensuring clear communication and fostering strong relationships with customers.
2. Lead and coordinate the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) for technical investigations and corrective action activities to resolve quality issues.
3. Investigate and verify quality reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems to determine the nature and scope of the customer's issue.
4. Utilize problem-solving tools like 5-Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, DMAIC, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or other problem-solving methods to identify root causes of quality issues and drive corrective actions.
5. Review and submit 8D reports or Corrective Action Reports (CAR) to the customer.
6. Identify potential quality risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent failures that could affect customer satisfaction or compliance with standards.
7. Initiate containment actions for stock at all locations and implement measures to prevent recurrence of issues at the customer site.
8. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction, defect rates, response times, and improvement trends to drive continuous quality improvements.
9. Update weekly, monthly, and yearly reports tracking customer quality concerns and complaint issues.
10. Follow up on Engineering Changes (EC), attend trials at the customer site, and ensure timely and accurate implementation of changes.
11. Assist with process, product, system, and supplier audits, and support improvement actions (e.g., ISO 9001, CMMI).
12. Develop internal quality system procedures for the CQE, including work instructions, quality guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation.
13. Lead software update activities at customer sites, ensuring the process is completed effectively and aligns with quality standards.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Over five years of automotive quality experience.
  • Specific Skills and Experience:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Automotive Industry (Over five years)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Malay.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications.
