E-Commerce Warehouse Manager (WM)
We are looking for an effective E-Comm Warehouse Manager to manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of cross-functional warehouse operational initiatives. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Ultimately you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Execute and manage routine e-commerce warehouse tasks include goods reception, packages organising, shelving, QC & packing, sorting, exceptions handling, inventory management, palletising and shipping
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety protocols, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Train and supervise warehouse staff; set performance goals
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure products meet standards before shipment
- Overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to support the efficient and accurate fulfilment of customer online orders in a timely manner.
- Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS), OMS, barcode scanning, and other tools to streamline operations and improve accuracy
- Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and quality control processes
- Lead and participate in special projects aimed at improving warehouse efficiency, such as process automation, layout optimization, and technology implementation.
- Achieve warehouse KPI, operation optimisation and cost control goals
- Continual reviewing, analysing, improving processes and efficiencies
A. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory optimization strategies.
- Monitors day to day stock movements and any fulfilment issues.
- Overseeing invoicing processes are accurate
- Produce templates that streamline stock management / movement processes.
- To ensure all incoming/ outgoing stocks are updated in a timely manner
- To work with Category team to ensure all returned stocks (damaged, near expiry, expired and etc) are processed and returned to the respective vendor in a timely manner.
- Perform regular stock takes with the warehouse and reconcile any variances.
- Ensure all reporting are submitted to the relevant party promptly
- Logistic coordination with 3PL and vendors
B. Order Fulfilment
Order fulfilment covers the complete process from when a sale takes place all the way through delivery to our customer (from receiving online orders, processing, picking, packing and shipping online order to customers)
- Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure products meet standards before shipment to ensure customer has positive delivery experience.
- Ensure order fulfilment are executed flawlessly or at minimum disruptions.
- Ensure package lost, late or damaged are at minimum.
- Liaise as required with necessary party to resolve delivery issues.
- To budget all fulfilment costs and ensure they are covered by pricing of delivery charges
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager (preferably in eCommerce)
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases (OMS/WMS/Barcode, etc)
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in English (Written & Spoken)
