Reporting To: Human Resource Manager

Position Summary:

  • Assist to perform a variety of recruitment, employee relations, counseling, and compensation functions as assigned for specific areas of the hospital.
  • Assist to explain benefit programs to hospital employees; assist in coordination benefits with insurance companies or other payers.
  • Assist to mediate grievances, discipline and termination issues, and coordinate and organize a variety of employee related activities, service awards and other recognition programs of the hospital.
  • Administer and coordinate all in-house and external training programs for development and continuous education of staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review personnel requirements and check files for qualified candidates.

2. Screen applications, interview qualified applications and arrange for second interviews when necessary.

3. Evaluate candidates and negotiate starting salaries according to compensation guidelines. Make job offers on behalf of the hospital and arrange for pre-employment and medical examinations.

4. Communicate the policies and benefit of the hospital and coordinates payroll records for new employees.

5. Establish and maintain a filing system for all written materials, correspondences and hospital reports on employees.

6. Explain benefit plans.

7. Assist employees with enrolment and termination of benefits and ensure that payroll deductions and overtime payment are correctly entered in to the data at management office.

8. Counsel and helps employees claim benefits

10. Advise and assist management staff with interpretation and application of personnel policies and procedures, grievance, discipline, and termination problems.

11. Provide education and advise to managers on proper documentation and legal requirements for discipline issues and termination procedures.

12. Conduct exit interviews for resigned employees. Evaluate interview information, identifying retention and employee relations problems.

13. Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.

14. Coordinate and make arrange for staff training organized by service providers.

15. Attend meetings as required.

16. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned and directed.

Education and Requirements:

  • Diploma in Human Resource or Equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) to four (4) years previous relevant experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Have good command in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
  • Willing to work on Saturdays
