JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager (Retail) is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company’s retail division, particularly in cosmetics and merchandise. This includes managing financial planning, budgeting, and risk management to ensure profitability and operational efficiency. The role requires developing financial strategies, ensuring compliance, and optimizing financial performance to support the company’s growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning & Strategy:

  • Formulate financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, analyze trends, and provide advice on potential changes.
  • Manage budgeting processes and capital requests for retail and merchandise.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement financial controls to minimize risks.
  • Develop performance metrics and financial mechanisms to support operational goals.

    • Operations:

  • Oversee transaction systems, SOPs, and fee structures for retail and merchandise.
  • Ensure operational cost efficiency and drive profitability in cosmetics and merchandise.
  • Supervise financial due diligence for acquisitions and expansion initiatives.
  • Monitor collections, review cash flow projections, and manage working capital.

    • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Oversee the accurate issuance of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Present financial results to senior management and the board, including variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial performance by comparing actual results to budgeted expectations.

    • Funding & Investment:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Arrange financing for expansion, acquisitions, and other investment activities.
  • Manage the company’s investment portfolio and associated risks.

    • Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to retail and merchandise operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust control systems to safeguard company assets.

    • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
    • Extensive experience in financial management, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies.
    • Experience in managing financial operations in cosmetics and merchandise is a must
    • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with financial software and data analysis tools.
    • Ability to adapt to industry changes and manage cross-functional teams.
    • Versatile with good personality and character as part of the ambassador of the products.
