Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Network Engineer at Skill Quotient located in Damansara. The Network Engineer will be responsible for network administration, network engineering, troubleshooting, network security, and network design on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology (Computer/Telecommunication/Network) or equivalent

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant networking experience in routing, switching, SD-WAN, IP MPLS, VPN, etc.

• Have strong leadership qualities and able to give technical direction.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work with all levels of personnel from end users to senior management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with other senior leaders in the organization.

• Good analytical, logical and problem solving skills.

Essentials

• Experience assessing large-company/ campus/ branch office, WAN, and data centre business needs, designing and documenting solutions to meet these needs, and driving external vendors where applicable to deliver against product and software roadmaps

• Strong functional knowledge of TCP/IP required.

• Strongly versed across a variety of hardware and software manufacturers, and a high degree of comfort and experience in mixed vendor environments

• Strong hands-on experience with designing, configuring and troubleshooting network related devices.

• Fluent with state of art network technology and cloud infrastructure

• Flexible approach to working hours – after hours support during project implementation

• Self-starter and highly motivated individual who demonstrates the ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize and effectively meet deadlines while working on multiple assignments simultaneously
