Job Purpose:
Responsible to drive the indirect/funds investment within the Private Investment portfolio to be aligned with LTAT’s long-term Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) target for Private Equity investment.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Development of Portfolio Strategy
- Develop portfolio strategies for fund investment based current and past PE portfolio performance in achieving the desired weighting as determined by the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA).
- Develop plan alongside Head of Private Investment to optimize the capital deployment via funds investment and co-investment.
2. Deal Sourcing & Fund
- Oversee deal sourcing, funds screening, deal execution, capital deployment planning and active monitoring of the funds’ investment.
- Active engagement with General Partners (“GPs”) and perform due diligence to ensure quality deals.
- Supervise subordinates on deal sourcing by undertaking in-depth analysis for new investments and due diligence.
3. Fund Data & Analysis
- Monitor portfolio of fund investments, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Track and analyse data related to the Limited Partners (“LPs”) holdings, including capital calls, distributions, and net asset value.
- Monitor portfolio companies’ valuations and assess the performance of portfolio companies.
4. Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct research and to identify potential investment opportunities including market trends, business models and various investment option.
- Lead in structuring investment transactions and participating in negotiations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience of at least 7 years in investment management, private equity and/or investment banking.
- Strong understanding of private equity fund investment landscape.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
