Assistant Manager-Mechanical (Steam Engineer)

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Requires to have valid Steam Engineer Certificate and certified as Steam Engineer from DOSH

2.Ensures the safety of personnel and Equipment by maintaining high standards of maintenance and safety.

3. Ensure smooth functioning of all Rotary equipment like Pumps, Compressors, Chillers, etc.. and maintenance methods of static equipment.

4. Ensures ZERO leaks in the steam system and plans steam network maintenance online and offline.

5. Coordination with all Government officials for getting approvals for pressure vessels, Boiler, and all drawings.

6. Preparing annual turnaround plan and execution of the same without any deviation.

7. Preparing Monthly performance reports and review with Management.

8. Closely working with the purchasing department to ensure the right quality of materials ad timely supplies as per specifications and standards.

Planning:

8. Maintaining critical spares for the smooth running of the plant without stoppages.

9. Planning and conducting Preventive maintenance of all rotary and static equipment.

10. To attend meetings, Seminars, Training workshops, and other work-related issues as required, which may involve working outside normal hours.

11. To organize and attend regular meetings with supervisors and other associated staff for reviewing the operation of the Mechanical Maintenance section.

FAILURE ANALYSIS:

12. Carrying out breakdown analysis and preparing reports.

13. Implementing appropriate CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) to avoid repeated breakdowns.

14. Analyzing the last five years’ failure reports and taking corrective action for lateral improvements.

15. Conduct failure-based training and brainstorming with the team to avoid repeated failures.

16. Modification and Implementation of New Technology for continually improving productivity, quality, reliability, and safety of the plant.
