Manager, Production

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee the PCBA/Box Build manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production processes, ensuring that manufacturing goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost are achieved efficiently. The candidate will also work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance production output, and ensure adherence to industry standards, including ISO certifications and other regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities :

• Production Planning & Management:
  • Plan, organize, and control the production schedule to meet customer requirements, ensuring timely delivery of electronic assemblies and products.
• Process Optimization:
  • Analyze production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and ensure the best use of resources.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all products meet stringent quality standards. Maintain compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor production supervisors and staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability within the production department.
• Resource Management:
  • Manage labor, material, and equipment resources to achieve cost efficiency and meet production targets. Oversee inventory control and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies.
• Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and workplace safety standards. Implement procedures to minimize risk and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any hazards or non-compliance issues in the production environment.
• KPI Management:
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, on-time delivery, quality performance, and cost management.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality and program teams to address production challenges and ensure seamless delivery of customer orders.
• Technology Integration:
  • Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies, particularly in SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and recommend upgrades or changes to equipment and processes to stay competitive.

Job Requirements :

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management within the EMS industry or a related electronics manufacturing environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, SMT, through-hole technology, and box build manufacturing processes. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and developing production teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO standards, RoHS compliance, and other regulatory frameworks related to electronics manufacturing.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present findings to senior leadership.

Job Related Skills :

• IPC Knowledge: Familiarity with IPC standards and guidelines for electronics manufacturing and assembly is essential.
• Lean and Six Sigma Certification: Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is highly desirable, with practical experience in applying these principles.
