Responsible in planning and overseeing the production of jewellery. It includes ensuring the factory target is met by understanding the demand requirements, planning, monitoring and managing production process, ensuring quality check of each production line until the finished product and timely delivery, with enforcement of compliance with relevant / applicable regulations.

This role includes supervising, managing and training factory workers, as well as managing Worker’s Union.

Responsibilities

(a) Strategy Development & Implementation

• Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.

• Coordinate the development of key performance goals and target for each functions and product segment.

• Engage with relevant stakeholders in HQ for factory strategic planning.

• Plan & develop a supply chain strategy at the regional level to ensure sufficient supply of raw material.

(b) Operation Management

• Responsible of the production of the different jewellery designs.

• Understand the production schedule and customer’s requirements; and plan the production process.

• Introducing state of the art high tech manufacturing techniques for Niche segment products.

• Coordinate with other departments for purchasing of the required material for the production.

• Responsible for all shifts production schedules.

• Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order and scheduling of machineries maintenance accordingly.

• Conduct regular monitoring on floor staff’s performance.

• Ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner.

• Resolve any issues that may derail production.

• Responsible in monitoring and execution of the production process and recording the production data for analysis.

• Develop a stringent control on precious metal loss.

• Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.

• Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.

• Develop/review local policies and procedures to ensure proper control, and aligning with the centralized policies and procedures from HQ.

• Oversee daily operations of the factory and provide direct management of key personnel in all units.

• Ensure that all aspects of factory operations adhere to all country, safety regulations and cultural guidelines.

• Maximizes achievement of profitable growth, profit and loss contribution, and ensures prudent controls.

• Accountable for all internal issues, policies, and decisions – e.g. business planning, HR policies and people management, budgeting and financial policies. Where centralised policies/SOP exist the IO’s Head is responsible for insuring consistency between local and centralized policies and SOPs.

(c) Stakeholder Management & Engagement

• Liaison person with HQ on all matters from strategic Planning to the execution and operations of the factory.

• Adopting the most effective communication strategy to ensure all the information or direction properly communicated to the relevant stakeholders, including in HQ and local staff.

• Ensures productive and legally appropriate relations with business partners, customers, local community groups, union, and government bodies.

(d) Financial Planning & Management

• To review the operations of the company and present to the Board periodically accounts and statistics showing the progress and the present position of the factory.

• Set, monitor, manage and report on budget and expenditure of the factory.

• Establish a system of budgetary control by which the actual performance of the company may be evaluated against the planned course of action.

• Analyzing accounting and financial data, creating and managing budgets and improving revenue.

(e) Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with local and relevant laws, policies and practices and ensure best practice, including safety regulations.

• Ensuring the all employees adheres to all applicable local laws and industry codes.

(f) Reporting Management

• Generating production reports on key results and present it to respective key decision makers in HQ.

• Continually assess factory progress in all areas compile reports to submit to superiors in HQ, including reports on budgets, production growth or declines, regulatory compliance and etc.

(g) Human Capital Management and Development

• Manage the human resource and assess worker’s performance.

• Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.

• Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.

• Support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their development

• Ensuring the culture and values are consistent with the Group.

• Ensures all staff are capable, motivated, and are given the appropriate level of direction to achieve their target/performance.

• Responsible in managing worker’s union and ensure healthy working relationships to ensure no disruption of the operations.

• Select and train factory supervisory staff and workers.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in any field.

• At least 6-10 years of experience preferably in manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 2 years in management role.

• Experienced in production and inventory Management as well as Quality Control.

• Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.

• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.

• Must be willing to be stationed at the assigned Country, Vietnam

• Possess leadership versatility and strong business acumen.

• Strong attention to details, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills in English, proficiency in local language is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
