Job Summary
A Protocol Officer plays a critical role in managing diplomatic, governmental, and corporate events by ensuring adherence to established procedures, etiquette, and international customs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement protocol procedures for various events and ceremonies
- Determine and manage seating arrangements according to seniority and official hierarchy
- Advise senior management on matters of etiquette, diplomatic protocol, and official procedures
- Create and maintain a database of VIPs, dignitaries, and their protocol requirements
- Liaise with government agencies, embassies, and other organizations to ensure proper protocol is followed
- Draft and review official correspondence, invitations, and programs
- Coordinate logistics for official visits, including transportation, accommodation, and security with the Events Department team
- Manage the protocol team and delegate tasks effectively
- Conduct protocol briefings for staff and participants involved in official events
- Oversee the preparation of venues for official functions, ensuring all protocol requirements are met
- Stay updated on changes in local and international protocol practices.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with a minimum CGPA of 3.20
- Minimum 4 years of working experience with events and public relations.
- Strong knowledge of diplomatic and business etiquette
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in relevant software for event planning and management
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Flexibility to work irregular hours when required
Candidate must be willing to work in Cyberjaya
