Job Purpose:

Manage contracts and administer commercial as well as related contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Devise the development, administration and management of contract compliance plans
  2. Manage contract contracting processes and systems to ensure its fit for purpose and are in place to manage all contract information
  3. Manage contract tendering strategies, negotiations, contract management and sharing commercial advice to the Project Management team during project execution which includes viz-a-viz:
  • General Terms & Conditions and formulation of contract documents;
  • Tender and award process,
  • Progress; cost management / budget reporting;
  • Insurances and Bank Guarantees; interim and final account payments;
  • Change management : Change Requests, Change Proposals and Change Orders
  • Assessing claims for Extension of Time / Acceleration / Mitigation of delay including evaluation, negotiation and final settlement arrangements
  1. Manage the Tender and award process including Contract Documentation preparation, pre-qualification of Tenders, Inviting tenders, Tender evaluation, post contract administration
  2. Participate in contractor selection activities and in tendering process including evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  3. Contract negotiations with Contractors and Vendors both pre and post bid submission
  4. Evaluate and ensure commercial activities are completed in accordance with GT&C’, procedures while minimising risk in accordance with legal, risk management, construction and safety plans, HSE, QA/QC considerations and work schedule
  5. Manage the "close out" procedures including final account settlement with sub contractors, commissioning, testing and hand over of the newly completed Project facility to the Owner, punch lists, insurance claims, security deposits and drafting warranty extensions to the Client

Requirements

  1. Degree in Quantity Survey / Engineering or related discipline
  2. 15 years of relevant experience
  3. 5 years of experience in leadership capacity
  4. Experience in contract administration, contractual, legislative & statutory
  5. Familiar & knowledgeable in Construction, technical specifications & safety requirements
  6. Good in contract negotiation skills
