Senior Production Manager

RESPONSIBILITY:

• To lead the project team and manage the production arrangement and job allocation.
• Develop and plan production schedules or timelines and follow up closely on the production / project progress in order to meet the set deadline.
• To plan, manage and discipline the production workforce to be in line with the production goals.
• Interpret blueprints, design and produce technical drawings / fabrication parts drawings, and assembly drawings according to customer’s specifications & requirements.
• Analyse and develop the customer’s proposed design; investigate & diagnose the probability of product failure / faulty operations and propose appropriate solutions.
• Recommend design modification to eliminate machine or system malfunction.
• Coordinate and provide operational support for planning, production, manufacturing and fabrication of the company’s products.
• Oversee the installation, operations, maintenance and repair works to ensure that machines / products are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• To initiate production meetings and liaise with other departments, including R & D, Purchasing, Marketing and Warehouse to discuss and negotiate appropriate processes, coordination, costs and commercial issues.
• Liaise and communicate with customers in finalizing and confirming customers’ requirements and standards to disseminate the information to production accordingly and accurately.
• Liaise with the government authorities related to the company's production operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronic / Industrial / Engineering / Metal Fabrication or equivalent.
• Exposure / knowledge of design, mechanical drawings, usage, repair & maintenance of machines tools / machinery structure; and application of engineering science and technology is an advantage.
• Hands-on working experience in the manufacturing of mechanical machines & fabrication of precast concrete mold / machinery will be an added advantage.
• Takes ownership over task assigned and performs independently.
