Responsibilities

  1. Studying, and collecting data to determine overall cost breakdown includes the raw materials, energy, overhead and labour.
  2. Calculating the Budget and Forecast cost for FMCG related products.
  3. Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  4. Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs timely and accurately according to accounting processes and procedures.
  5. Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
  6. Simulate any new and proposed product costs.
  7. Maintaining Cost Accounting System Control and Process.
  8. Assist in maintaining the material master cost update and cost release process.
  9. Support any other related task required from the management.
  10. Validate and analysing standard cost reasonableness and responsible for standard cost release of every month.
  11. Review process order and address if any errors to production team and resolve.
  12. Checking freight cost reasonableness every month and ensure dummy freight cost is posted in sales order to estimate freight cost accruals.
  13. Analyse the impact of cost changes (e.g., raw material price fluctuations) on product profitability.
  14. Prepare reconciliation between FI, SD, and CO-PA ensures that sales, revenue, cost, and profitability data are consistent across these modules.
  15. Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in production and procurement.
  16. Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance cost accuracy and efficiency.
  17. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  18. Maintain accurate records of cost analysis and pricing documents.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in cost accounting, product costing, or a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and SAP ERP systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Good understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

  1. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  2. Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  3. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of industry-specific costing methodologies (e.g., Oleochemical, manufacturing, FMCG).
