Safety Officer

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Develop, review and improve safety work standard (SWS), procedures in the workplace and lead risk assessment (HIRARC0 for all workplace area.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, including new hire orientations.
• Coordinate Company Safety and Health system (AMS) effectively within the Company pre-operation by interpreting standards, advising management on needed actions, enforcing adherence to regulations and corporate standards, promote awareness and improvement in implementing safety and health standards among employees.
• Responsible for overall plant Safety and Health always at high level of safe condition and participate in the safety and health activity programs.
• Perform all other duties, activities and responsibilities that may be assigned by the superiors whenever necessary from time-to-time.
• To prepare all relevant documentation associated with audits and inspection.
• Ensure that every legal requirement related to Safety and Health in the workplace is compiled with by the company.

Job Requirements:

• At least possess a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety studies and/or relevant professional qualification.
• With 3-5 years working experience in Occupational Health and Safety field.
• Completed OSH-Coordinator course (OSH-C) or Safety and Health Officer course (SHO) and registered with JKKP (obtained Green Book is added advantage).
• In-depth knowledge of the Malaysia Occupational Safety & Health Act and Regulations (Act 514), FMA1967 & New Amendment OSHA 2022.
• Good knowledge in ISO14001:2015 & 45001:2018 or experienced in managing internal audits.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
