FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Role Description The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This is a transformational role where you will also involve in implementing enhanced accounting system and processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 4+ years in a financial role including a strong exposure and knowledge of general ledger accounting Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Proficiency in MS Excel Excellent analytical and numerical skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Key Accountabilities 1. Financial Reporting: Ensure timely closing of monthly accounts. To prepare, analyse and report financial results. Assist in management reporting, forecasting and budgeting on a timely basis. 2. General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of transactions. Prepare and review journal entries and adjustments. 3. Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records. 4. Systems and Tools: Utilize accounting software and other financial tools effectively. Participate in the implementation of new systems or upgrades. 5. Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
