Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met, and driving continuous improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role leads the manufacturing team, collaborates with other departments, and ensures compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies to meet production goals, ensure product quality, and align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, including new product development, quality control, and cost management.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the manufacturing teams to achieve high performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement based on production metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to track progress toward goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to support ongoing manufacturing activities.
  • Prepare and manage the manufacturing budget, including forecasting, cost analysis, and reporting.
  • Promote a culture of safety, with the goal of achieving a zero-accident workplace.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in managing budgets, forecasting production costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong decision-making, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
