Job description
- Perform related daily end to end procurement / sourcing / purchasing activities including Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), tender exercise, Purchase Order & suppliers’ / contractors’ contracts.
- Analyze, evaluate and negotiate price with suppliers / contractors to achieve best cost, delivery, quality and commercial terms within approved budget.
- Lead, support & manage procurement activities / projects related to internal stakeholders needs. Liaise closely and directly with other business units and various levels of stakeholders.
- Source and perform due diligence on new suppliers / contractors and maintain strategic relationship with existing suppliers / contractors.
- Review suppliers’ / contractors’ contract and monitor suppliers’ / contractors’ performance in line with agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)/ Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and/or other contractual obligations and resolve supplier’s / contractors’ issues if any.
- Conduct market research and keep abreast for best practices, new products and services.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to procurement are adhered to at all times.
- Take on the role of spokesperson regarding the procurement procedure / system / SOP.
- Ensure Company Policy / Limit of Authority (LOA) / Company SOP are adhered to at all times.
- Take on additional responsibility that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
Requirement:
- Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with various level of stakeholders
- Able to work independently as well as in team environment
- Detail oriented with problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel
- Minimum 1 year working experience in procurement, preferably someone looking to develop career in procurement
