Description

Process and monitor the execution of finance services activities, which includes accounts payable, banking, fund management and vendor records management in accordance with KPOC Accounting Policies and Procedures, KPOC Limits of Authority (LOA), guidelines by host government and applicable laws and regulations of Malaysia. In addition, support the SAP Control functions and tax computation filings.

1. Validate completeness of all third-party vendor payment documents for timely and accurate disbursements and to facilitate users to resolve any disputes/enquiries as well as to comply with KPOC Policies and Procedures, banking procedures and regulatory/statutory requirements.

Ensure correct usage of account code, cost center or project code, up to date vendor records and verify approvals in accordance with LOA for accurate reporting, cost recovery and resolve any discrepancies, if any.

2. Review and verify submission of staff advances and claims by ensuring the completeness of supporting documents and in compliance with LOA and established processes/ procedures as well as resolving any discrepancies for on time payment.

3. Monitor funds requirements by verifying real time bank balance with fund requests from shareholders to ensure operations are sufficiently funded to meet daily working capital and liquidity requirements of the Company.

4. Assist in preparation of tax computation for Petroleum Income Tax (PITA) and Company Income Tax (CITA) which includes Initial Estimates, 6 Months Revision, 9 Months Revision and Final Tax Computation filing to Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB).

5. Back-up support for SAP Control functions which includes special tasks and projects as assigned such as performing User Acceptance Test (UAT) and month end closing activities.

6. Maintain a systematic filing of invoices, credit/debit notes and other relevant documents by keeping good filing record for the safekeeping of data in accordance with KPOC Document Retention Policy and other regulatory/statutory requirements.

7. Assist in MPM, Shareholders’, Statutory and any other audits by providing support in timely document extraction and clarification to auditors

Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn Bhd ("KPOC"​) was incorporated on 6 November 2007 under the Companies Act 1965. It is a Joint Operating Company formed under the terms of the Kebabangan Cluster Production Sharing Contract dated 31 December 2007.

KPOC was appointed the operator under the Kebabangan Cluster Joint Operating Agreement to conduct petroleum operations on behalf of the Production Sharing Contractors in offshore Sabah, Malaysia. The Production Sharing Contractors of the Kebabangan Cluster Production Sharing Contract are PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, ConocoPhillips (Sabah Gas) Ltd and Shell Energy Asia Limited. The participating interests of the Production Sharing Contractors are PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (40%), ConocoPhillips (Sabah Gas) Ltd (30%) and Shell Energy Asia Limited (30%).

KPOC has been entrusted with the exploration, development and production of natural gas resources from the Kebabangan Cluster fields which are located approximately 130km northwest of the coast of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.
