In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our institute by developing and executing a comprehensive sale and marketing strategy. You will lead a high-performing team to achieve and exceed revenue and student enrolment targets across local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a data-driven sales and marketing strategy that leverages online platforms and campaigns to drive brand awareness and student acquisition across local and international markets.
  • Spearhead innovative branding initiatives and cross-channel marketing campaigns to build a strong reputation and attract high-calibre students.
  • Lead the recruitment process through strategic initiatives such as roadshows, career fairs, and course previews.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders – including new and existing local/overseas partners, in-country managers, agents, institutions, and internal teams – to foster strategic partnerships and growth.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the local and international sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, formulate counter-strategies, and revise business plans accordingly.
  • Deliver timely and insightful monthly/quarterly reports to senior management on the performance of the Local & International Business department.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Schools to develop enrolment strategies that align with budget goals.
  • Drive results: Achieve and exceed revenue and student enrolment targets for the financial year.
  • Develop and implement an effective marketing and communications plan to ensure student recruitment targets are met as well as to enhance the positioning and standing of MDIS as per its Strategic Plan.
  • Provide effective solutions to challenges faced by the market and implement these solutions appropriately.
  • Provide effective leadership with respect to the portfolio’s responsibilities by ensuring that the department:
  • has staff members in appropriate numbers with abilities, attitudes, motivations, performance levels and position descriptions required to deliver the department’s responsibilities;
  • is managed effectively through systematic development and strict adherence to all policies and procedures;
  • plans and manages its budget and resources efficiently and effectively, always maximizing return on investments;
  • reports professionally and accurately on matters related to the department’s responsibilities including providing a quarterly update to the Board of Directors.
  • engages effectively with students, faculties and other departments.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrably successful experience in sales and marketing within the education sector, preferably in a private education institute.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies that deliver significant growth.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving education landscape and the needs of international students.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strategic thinking with exceptional influencing, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Inspiring and motivational leadership style to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
