Areas of Responsibilities

  • Manage and responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring the right products/cargoes are delivered to the customers and received from suppliers as per Delivery Order issued.
  • Responsible for the overall warehouse inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • To arrange for physical stock counts whenever needed and keep stock records accurate and up to date
  • Plan and monitor the movement and storage of incoming items from supplier or in-house production teams
  • Plan and review demand and supply forecast data; coordinate discussion with production team on fulfilment of forecast quantity.
  • Keep stock control system up to date and ensure inventories are accurate. Making recommendations on which items to order and restock
  • Enforce FIFO principle in deliveries, storage and replenishment of stocks to minimize ageing, deterioration and wastage of materials.
  • Prepare SOPs and work guides for the overall warehouse processes. Enforce proper housekeeping and compliance to the standards required by the company and the industrial practice to ensure that all operations at the warehouse are efficient and compliant to safety, environmental and health requirements.
  • Implementing and maintaining all ISO 9001 documented procedures and keeping all related records of warehouse activities
  • Liaise with Customer Service Department and transport companies to ensure that all deliveries are executed to meet the satisfaction of the customer in terms of accurate quantity and product quality and agreed expected time of arrival.
  • Managing budget and all expenses incurred in warehouse
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment in the warehouse.
  • To provide coaching and training as well as supervising a team of warehouse staff to carry out and support daily operation activities, ensuring effective distribution and inventory system within the logistics facilities. Monitoring staff performance and progress to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Produce reports and statistic data on the basis as requested by the Management
  • Monitor and plan for replenishment of packing material needed for deliveries.
  • To tackle customer complaint on deliveries reported to prevent recurrence
  • To revise operation processes for improvement
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • A recognised Diploma/University Degree in Business Studies/Administration/ Management or equivalent. Candidate with lower qualifications but strong hands-on experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations. Prior experience in manufacturing industry will be given priority
  • Competence in inventory management, freight forwarding, inbound and outbound operations
  • Strong knowledge in warehouse operations, and 5S methodology. Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in warehouse management system & applications
  • Possess strong planning, inventory control and data analytical skills. Able to handle data and reports
  • Data-oriented, with advanced-level MS Excel knowledge. Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to tackle and navigate operational challenges
  • Good interpersonal skills and team work.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus (Need to liaise with colleagues from HQ in China)
  • Able to work under pressure.
