Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant HR Manager to join our client’s HR team. This role will involve a wide range of HR responsibilities, from recruitment and payroll to handling employee relations and managing foreign workers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR processes, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to support the company’s human resource functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process and manage payroll for all employees.
  • Oversee foreign worker-related matters, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Handle complex disciplinary and grievance issues, providing expert advice and decision-making based on company policies and HR best practices.
  • Implement and manage HR policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Administer and manage the HR budget effectively.
  • Provide guidance on employee benefits and rewards programs, ensuring staff are well-supported.
  • Process and manage monthly payroll, including statutory payments such as EPF, SOCSO, and monthly income tax, as well as preparing Form EAs for year-end tax purposes.
  • Offer guidance and support to the HR team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to HR functions.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in foreign worker management and employee relations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in HR systems and MS Office applications.
