JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Maintain a database of suppliers and Identify potential suppliers and conduct comprehensive evaluations based on criteria such as price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies to achieve budgetary objectives while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Oversee the ordering process, ensuring accurate and timely procurement of goods and services.
- Proactively address and resolve any issues that may arise with suppliers.
- Arrangement of import shipment and SST procedures.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and avoid shortages.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts, including supply chain disruptions.
- Liaise closely with the Finance Department to monitor payment statuses and ensure timely processing.
- Coordinate effectively with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and inventory management.
- Evaluate supplier performance against predefined KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and training.
- Delegate tasks and ensure team members are aligned with organizational goals.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Possess at least 3-5 years’ related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Well organized with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and good team player
- Possess import and export of raw material experience will be an added advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
