Head of Electrical Design

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development, and optimization of low-voltage distribution switchboard, control panel, and related products, ensuring designs meet project requirements and industry standards;

• Lead and manage the design team, assign tasks, and oversee the design process to ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality;

• Communicate with clients to understand their technical needs and provide professional design recommendations and solutions;

• Develop product design standards and processes, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all design documents;

• Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality departments to ensure smooth implementation of design plans;

• Collaborate with project implementation teams to support on-site installation, commissioning, and resolve design-related technical issues;

• Responsible for the preparation and archiving of technical documents for design projects, including drawings, specifications, and test plans;

• Train and mentor team members, improving the overall technical capabilities of the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field, with experience in low-voltage electrical design;

• Familiar with low-voltage distribution system design standards, regulations, and relevant laws;

• Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with strong skills in electrical drawing design;

• Solid understanding of electrical principles and product development, with knowledge of low-voltage electrical components and their applications;

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to organize and coordinate team efforts effectively;

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and other departments;

• Innovative mindset with the ability to solve complex technical problems;

• Experience in low-voltage cabinet product development, production, or quality management is preferred;

• Familiar with low-voltage switchgear, distribution boxes, and busbar design, with some on-site engineering experience.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in switchboard design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
