Job Description

Responsibility – to ensure that all cash received from customers for the days’ transactions are adequately secured from acts of misappropriation, fraud and theft. The CSM cum Chief Cashier should ensure that all cash in excess of the Insured Limit should be banked into the respective bank accounts. Proper cash records need to be maintained to ensure proper audit trails are maintained. The CSM cum Chief Cashier should ensure that all customers of the company are cordially treated and welcomed. It is wish of the company to enhance its image by projecting a warm and friendly atmosphere and to reflect professionalism.

The main duties of are as follows:

1. To ensure all monies within the company’s premises are adequately secured and protected against theft or robbery. All cash should be kept in cashier’s drawers during business hours and in the safe or vault after office hours;

2. To hold combination lock password or key of the vault;

3. To receive all monies from the CSOs and to ensure the amount received is accurate and that the notes are genuine and not a forgery. Towards this end, the Chief Cashier SHOULD USE SUCH AIDS AS THE NOTE COUNTING MACHINE AND THE ULTRA VIOLET NOTE SCANNER;

4. To ensure a discharge is issued to the CSOs for all transfer of cash from the CSO to the Chief Cashier during lunch breaks and at the end of the day. The cash should be balance against the end of day records of the company and securely kept in the safe of cash vault;

5. To supervise all the CSO in the discharge of their duties and to ensure all the days’ vouchers are complete by checking the details as required by AML/CFT and to file away the day’s vouchers;

6. To maintain proper cash records to accurately reflect the cash transactions of the company;

7. To attend to customer’s complaints and dissatisfactions and to resolve all the issues;

8. To authorize and approve customers’ remittance properly;

9. To ensure amendment/cancellation of transactions properly of CBLMT’s all branches as per customer and branch written request.

10. To comply with all provisions of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the company;

11. To monitor the branch operations related with administration by reporting to Head Office; and

12. To perform any other related functions as directed by the management.

As you are CSM cum Chief Cashier and a representative of company at branch, it is advised that you should dress appropriately whilst on duty and avoid unnecessary chatting and answering personal calls on mobile phones.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
