Accounting Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. Maintain and update financial records and ledgers with accurate data entry. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Help with bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures. Prepare and assist in the generation of financial reports and statements. Assist in the preparation for audits by gathering necessary documentation. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Administrative Responsibilities: Manage scheduling, appointments, and calendar for the accounting department. Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and correspondence. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner. Assist in office organization, supply inventory management, and procurement. Prepare and distribute internal communications and memos. Support general administrative tasks as needed to facilitate department efficiency. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment: This position will be based in our office and may require occasional overtime during peak periods, such as month-end or year-end closing.
