Job Purpose/Summary:

The purpose of this role is to support the VP of Tyson Malaysia by driving the implementation of the business's aspirational growth plan. This includes leading strategic planning sessions, developing performance reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute business plans. Additionally, the role supports business development, acts as an internal consultant for project management, and leads post-M&A integration to ensure cohesive strategy and alignment across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Main Responsibility

  • Provide high-level support in business planning and project management.
  • Lead and drive cross-functional annual strategic planning sessions and presentation, promoting collaboration to achieve cohesive business objectives.
  • Develop and manage business performance reports and dashboards for the Leadership Team, proactively deriving insights to drive continuous improvement, both financially and non-financially
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR) as the representative of the VP to develop short/long-term business plans and execute cross-functional business projects.
  • Support and drive business development initiatives, including organic CAPEX projects and inorganic growth opportunity assessments.
  • Act as an internal consultant and business partner on cross-functional project management (PMO) activities for the Leadership Team.
  • Lead post-M&A integration activities, including the development of co-value creation of business strategy and functional integration across various functions and units,

Occupational Health & Safety / Environmental Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adhering to the Company’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • In conjunction with the Production Supervisors, responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety aspects of the production personnel.
  • Responsible for reporting any non-conforming safety matters immediately to their immediate Manager/Supervisor, Production Manager and People and Safety Manager or Safety Representative.
  • Participate in investigating non-conformances against the Occupational Health & Safety Program.
  • Responsible for reporting any non-conforming environmental matters immediately to their immediate Manager and Systems Compliance Officer / QA Manager.
  • Participate in investigating non-conformances against the Environmental Program within their department and production area.

Food Safety Responsibility

  • Follow all policies and procedures on Food Safety, Quality, and GMP.
  • Follow company guidelines to ensure food safety and hygiene are being followed.
  • Escalate any food safety and quality concerns to your relevant supervisors or QA supervisor.
  • Take all reasonable measures to maintain food integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering or related fields, MBA / master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience, preferably in Corporate Strategy/Management. consulting/Corporate Development at a leading company.
  • Experienced in leading high-level cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Strong business analytical and presentation skills, attention to detail and practical implementation of initiatives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, effective at engaging with all organizational levels, from top management to peers and stakeholders.
  • Can work independently without close day-to-day supervision. Must be a self-starter.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships at all levels.
  • Able to manage stressful situations without compromising acceptable behavioral standards.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences between countries and races.
  • Very high ethical standards together with a “strong moral compass.”
  • Ability to maintain a holistic business view while diving into specifics when necessary.
  • Preparedness to take a very flexible approach to working hours.
  • Able to travel regionally where required and permitted
