Senior eCommerce Executive
Position Overview:
The eCommerce Lead is responsible for strategizing, managing, and optimizing the company’s online sales channels, including its own eCommerce platforms and third-party marketplaces. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end eCommerce process, leading a team, and driving growth through effective management of both proprietary and marketplace channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- eCommerce and Marketplace Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies for both the company’s eCommerce website and third-party marketplaces to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Analyze performance across various sales channels, including proprietary eCommerce sites and major marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop), to identify opportunities and optimize strategy.
- Platform and Marketplace Management:
- Oversee the management and optimization of the company’s eCommerce platforms, including website maintenance, product listings, and user experience enhancements.
- Manage and optimize product listings, pricing strategies, promotions, and advertising on third-party marketplaces to maximize visibility and sales.
- Marketplace Operations:
- Coordinate with marketplace account managers to ensure compliance with platform rules, campaigns, manage account health, and resolve any issues.
- Monitor marketplace performance metrics and adapt strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the eCommerce team, including digital marketers, content creators, and marketplace operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, supply chain, and customer service, to align eCommerce and marketplace strategies with overall business goals.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales data, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs for both eCommerce sites and marketplaces.
- Create detailed reports and actionable insights to evaluate performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Continuously improve the online shopping experience on both the company’s website and marketplace platforms through UX/UI enhancements, personalized marketing, and customer feedback.
- Implement and monitor customer service protocols to ensure high satisfaction levels across all channels.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Manage the eCommerce and marketplace budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for marketing, platform maintenance, and operational costs.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue and profitability, and make adjustments to strategies as needed.
- Vendor and Partner Management:
- Identify and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to enhance eCommerce and marketplace operations.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
- Innovation and Market Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in eCommerce and marketplace management.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to keep the company’s online sales strategies competitive and effective.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3 years of experience in eCommerce management, digital marketing, and marketplace operations.
- Proven success in managing and optimizing sales across eCommerce platforms and third-party marketplaces.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, digital marketing strategies, and data analysis.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, and others) and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Sellercraft and others) as well as marketplace management tools (e.g., Amazon Lazada Seller Centre, TikTok Shop).
