Job Description

As an Supply Chain Analyst (focus: Inventory) you will serve as a primary operational enabler, collaborating with and driving process definition, alignment, and accountability between internal stakeholders on the status and disposition of excess inventory. You will manage and maintain the infrastructure providing the visibility, projections and allocation of risk inventory for the Sales department and dependent departments. You will drive streamlined and efficient business processes, utilizing industry best practices, within your area of responsibility. You will work with the Supply Chain and Operations team to drive goals and incentive programs that align with cross-functional initiatives. You will define metrics that aid in tracking the progress and success of implemented programs. The Supply Chain Analyst will work with the impacted business areas to create, maintain, promote, and continually seek to optimize the business rule standards. In this position you will have the opportunity to partner with members of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Finance.

Systems: SharePoint, Reporting tools, Microsoft Office, Tableau, Power BI, SAP or any standard ERP system.

Responsibilities And Tasks

Identify risk inventory

  • Define criteria for “excess inventory”
  • Provide visibility of inventory that meets the “excess inventory” criteria
  • Appropriately prioritize inventory disposition activities to successfully meet or exceed defined targets

Data Analysis and Measure

  • Analyze inventory trends and set cross-functional targets to minimize excess.
  • Develop advanced reports in Tableau that provide visibility of risk inventory, projections, and targets
  • Provide line-of-sight visibility into agreed upon disposition plans at varying levels appropriate to the audience
  • Track disposition activities for transparency and improvement opportunities

Disposition

  • Develop clear understanding of product families and markets
  • Understand and drive disposition of risk inventory utilizing existing avenues
  • Help to reduce or eliminate roadblocks preventing the disposition of risk inventory
  • Investigate and develop new avenues to disposition risk inventory
  • Work with the appropriate stakeholders to cultivate incentives and accountability for meeting agreed upon targets

Documentation and training

  • Develop procedures and create and maintain the appropriate documentation
  • Manage change throughout area of influence and responsibilities

Education

Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study relevant experience preferred.

Experience

New College Graduates (NCGs) only
