Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the month-end closing of accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management. Ensure that financial reports align with management requirements and expectations.
Analyse financial performance and provide actionable advices to improve the company’s financial health. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for growth.
Ensure rigorous adherence to approved accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies. Regularly review and propose update on compliance practices to reflect changes in regulations and industry standards.
Evaluate and enhance accounting processes and procedures to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. Propose and implement best practices and technological solutions to streamline operation activities.
Monitor the progress of accounting tasks and provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff. Facilitate their professional development and ensure they adhere to best practices.
Liaise with auditors and tax agents related to accounting and tax matters, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Undertake special assignments and ad-hoc duties as required by management. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to address varying business needs.
