Details of the Division and Team:

Trade and/or Transaction is responsible for providing operational expertise and independent governance to achieve timely, accurate and complete transaction management for the bank and, where relevant, the bank’s clients. Work includes:

  • Providing the leadership team with technical, transactional and logistical input to ensure the bank operates with the right balance of quality, flexibility, control and cost management
  • Collaborating across businesses and divisions
  • Maximizing control and minimizing operational risk
  • Building and managing partnerships between internal stakeholders to ensure that the bank’s business objectives are delivered
  • Ensuring compliance with operational control and external regulation
  • Improving the bank’s technology platforms where necessary

Your key responsibilities:

  • Handle the day-to-day processing of Collections, Letter of credit as part of trade operation team, to meet agreed customer service level agreements and review outstanding transactions.

  • Manage and ensure compliance (KOP, Ops manual etc.) with internal policies and audit and regulatory requirements

  • Handle regulatory reporting such as Cash BOP, EALIS & other related reporting as required from time to time.

  • Support and achieve excellent partnership with relevant stakeholders and business

  • Possess adequate understanding of Trade related rules and guidelines as commissioned by ICC (ICC/UCP/URC etc)

  • Good understanding of legal, credit and operational risks in handling of Trade product/services

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience.

  • Min. 3 years’ experience in Trade Finance operations

  • Good communication skills (oral and written)

  • Good Team player

  • Good understanding of trade related products
