Mechanical Technician duties & responsibilities
1.Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, and mechanical parts.
2. Conduct inspections and diagnostics on mechanical equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
3. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems on marine vessels and structures.
4. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
5. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate repairs and installations.
6. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement mechanical modifications and upgrades.
7. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
8. Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in marine mechanical work.
9. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies for mechanical maintenance.
10. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all mechanical work adheres to safety protocols.
11. Work closely with other departments to coordinate mechanical work and ensure project timelines are met.
12. Able to Prepare reporting documents.
13. Prepare and compiled project pre-mob documentations for fabrication and installation.
14. Procure Mechanical components and tools.
15. Involve in project implementation.

Mechanical Technician Requirements and Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Design/ Marine Engineer or any equivalent
• Good in marine mechanical design, drafting and able to handle 3d drawings (Autocad)
• Capable of managing and creating 3D drawings.
• Mechanical knowledge & experience preferable.
• Good in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in English is added advantage
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Able to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical regulations, construction, materials, and industry.
• Possess mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Good health condition.
• Salary commensurate with experience and qualification.
