The Executive/Officer-Payroll, Human Resource is mainly responsible for managing and processing monthly payroll and/or other HR tasks for the 1 Utama City Group of Companies. The positions require the incumbent to be proficient in payroll processing with relevant experience in using payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processes, including checking and ensuring computation of wages, deductions and taxes are accurate and comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Malaysia.
  • Monitoring the submission and ensuring the accuracy of overtime claims.
  • Responsible for medical and insurance benefits; approving employees leave/medical/mileage claims before finalising payroll
  • Good experience in using payroll software; possess good knowledge and understanding on the whole payroll processing cycle including filing of statutory claims
  • To create and maintain employee personal data in the payroll system, monitoring confirmation due date, letter preparation for confirmation, contract renewal, increment, promotion, transfer, resignation etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and good problem-solving abilities; committed and diligent in addressing and resolving payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including employee personal data and other relevant documentation.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, errors, or issues promptly. Investigate and correct any anomalies in payroll processing.
  • Prepare new employee notification form for IRB, register new employee to SOCSO portal; prepare documents such as CP22A, CP21, EA; ensure monthly online payments such as Income EPF/ SOCSO/ EIS/Income Tax/ HRDCorp etc are submitted in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Has experience in handling yearly salary review and performance bonus exercise will be a plus point.
  • With the guidance of manager, identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll operations.
  • Consistently get updates on latest statutory laws and regulations requirements to ensure accurate calculation and submission of payroll; stay current with development in payroll technology.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address payroll issues, troubleshoot system-related problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in internal and external audit to ensure all documentation and procedures comply with audit requirements.
  • Job incumbents must be prepared to be assigned any other HR projects/ assignments when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or it's equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to start with short notice (August) will be a plus point.
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office – Excel and Word.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion including implementing measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented, systematic, good time-management, committed, diligent and able to work under time pressure.
