- To drive sourcing productivity, including lead time reduction, cost saving and dual sourcing
- Technically sound, able to compare and distinguish the quality and characteristic of material or equipment parts supplied by various suppliers
- Strategizing the procurement plan with appropriate analysis to meet company’s objective
- Support engineering or other related department PIC to implement continuous improvement or cost down programs
- Explore and consolidate pricing information to strike a balance between quality and cost in procuring materials, suppliers, and services
- Contributes to the development supplier management, including supplier audit, supplier performance evaluation, and documentation requirement to align with company need
- Follow up RMA for Standard Part and root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions to improve the quality issue
- Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities with the supply chain
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related field
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in supplier quality and development
- Specific experience in metal fabrication and mechanical engineering is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, organizational and negotiation skills
- Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia
