Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the General Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Intimately familiar with the mall’s structural and mechanical features; monitor, manage, and maintain a conducive environment for all inhabitants of the mall.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals / installation / dismantling.
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Recruit, train, counsel, appraise, and discipline employees as and when necessary.
  • Prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems; complete audits; identify beneficial trends.
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment in a timely manner.
  • Manage contracts and pricing while ensuring proper maintenance and serving as the primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health and safety agencies. Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact when there are issues related to equipment conditions, customer service, or mishaps on-site, which includes problems surfacing at tenants’ outlets.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with key operations vendors.
  • Performs regular inventory optimisation by maintaining up-to-date inventory records.

Requirements:

  • College degree in a related field, with a minimum of 6 - 10 years of experience in mall operations.
  • Able to lead and inspire a team to perform beyond the company’s minimum expectations, and to delegate the work efficiently.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Deadline-Oriented.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment.
