Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized hotel receptionist cum reservation clerk to join our growing team. In this position, you will welcome guests to our hotel, making future reservations for them, and generally attending to any needs during their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Greet hotel guests; answer any questions or concerns
  • Up Selling guest rooms and promoting hotel services
  • Handle check-in and check-out
  • Attend to all routes of room bookings, such as online, phone, and in person, group bookings to ensure that reservations are not left hanging but attended to promptly to keep the hotel business running
  • Communicate with Housekeeping departments to make sure current information on status of rooms.
  • Process payments for the departures.
  • Answer calls and emails to provide rate and availability information.
  • Confirm and update reservations, including entering data into online system.
  • Assist with reservation requests from guest and determine the rooms available to meet customers' expectations and desires.
  • Maintain orderliness at the front desk by arranging documents accordingly and keeping the front desk area clean at all times to avoid rowdiness.
  • Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing.
  • Report issues of maintenance and malfunctioning appliances to the manager for quick repair in order to ensure guests comfort and satisfaction.

  • Count and take the cash float money from the previous shift.
  • Ensure compliance with all related policies procedures.

Qualification and Skills

  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluent in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
  • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
