  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Team Lead Controls Project Engineer
Reports to: Group Project Engineering Manager
As a Lead Controls Project Engineer in Vanderlande’s Airport and Parcel Solutions (APS) business unit, you will take the lead in designing and implementing control systems for large-scale BHS and parcel handling systems. This position offers the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee the integration of complex hardware and software systems, and deliver high-impact solutions that ensure operational excellence in airports and parcel hubs worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and execution of control systems, ensuring integration of hardware and software components (including PLC systems) for BHS and parcel handling projects.
  • Oversee the development of system specifications, interface designs, and testing protocols to ensure control systems meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to align control system designs with broader project goals, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring all control system activities are aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Commissioning Acceptance Tests (CAT) to validate control system performance.
  • Drive standardization efforts, implementing process improvements that enhance the efficiency and reliability of control systems across multiple projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of controls engineers, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the commissioning phase, ensuring a smooth handover to the customer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in controls engineering and PLC programming, particularly Siemens, in BHS and parcel solutions solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale control system projects, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of quality, timelines, and budgets.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project oversight and team management.
