Roles and Responsibilities

• To oversee the network software, hardware and network infrastructure networks and systems for network performance.
• To administer, manage, maintain and support the day-to-day operation of the IT Network and all network devices at all of the current customer locations.
• To maintain and document consistent device naming, interface naming and IP addressing and conventions.
• To perform network device configuration backups for all network and security devices.
• To perform restoration of configuration backups to network and security devices following an authorized and approved request from customer.
• To manage IP addressing, IP ranges and port details inventory of new, updated and removed Network Devices.
• To Manage Access point in customer offices.
• To administer and setup firewall rules / policies.
• To act as a single point of contact for notification should there be irregular system behavior which propels for network irregularities.
• Responsible for network installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities for switches, routers, UTP, fiber, LAN, WAN, wireless, data lines such as leased line, ISDN and Streamyx, DHCP, network monitoring system and routing.
• Responsible for security management such as firewall, packet shaper, load balancer, DNS & SMTP gateway, proxy system and the yearly security assessment.
• Responsible for the phone infrastructure troubleshooting such as Cisco Call manager, Deltapath voicemail, billing system VOIP, telephone set and reporting.
• Work with Internal technical team to resolve any network & telecommunication problems.
• Document network & telecommunication problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Report Analysis on network & telecommunication security, including firewalls, system log etc.
• Analyze utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
• Investigate and recommend enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
• To provide daily, weekly and monthly report for network and telecommunication monitoring system to Head of Network infrastructure.
• Assist customer to carry out network strategy and network related projects by contributing information.
• To liaise with customer IT partners to update on network hardware related maintenance activities.
• To periodically review network related items (e.g. procedure, standard, and access); this include housekeeping of all changes are required to be tracked.
• To perform internal and external Vulnerability Assessment, familiar with customer Network framework and standards.
• To comply to customer guidelines, processes, practices and procedures as per customer IT policy.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Network/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Certified in CCNA (preferable).
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
