Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Development of solution proposals and project requests

  • Development of regional customer / partner solutions (BOM) by considering an optimal cost/benefit ratio for the customer and MT, the competitive situation, and the margin requirements of the SBU, PO, and MO, in coordination with Global Head of Sales, MO sales representatives and other SBU Application Engineers.
  • It is critical for this role to have a complete understanding of the costs and support the required bid sheets for the Market Organizations and SBU Business Development teams.

Processing and coordination of project orders

  • Handling and coordination of regional / global projects in close cooperation with the customer, MO sales and service, the PO’s by taking optimal customer satisfaction and cost control into account.
  • Monitoring of revenue recognition in cooperation with the MO and customer.

Sales support in close cooperation with sales representatives, customer, and service organizations

  • Consulting of customers together with the sales representatives in finding the optimal solutions (by telephone online meetings, personal presence).
  • Creation of functional specifications and, if necessary, customer specifications.
  • Accompaniment of KAMs within the scope of project clarification.
  • Communication of final solution specifics to MO service organizations.

Support of technically relevant sales processes

  • Review and support of MO solution requests for special customer solutions (PRS).
  • Support of review processes with stakeholders such as MO and SBU management.

Development of project-related technical documentation

  • Coordination and creation of project-related documentation according to customer requirements.

Training and education

  • Provide application and solution training for MO sales representatives.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Technical university degree or a similar technical education
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering and/or similar science.
  • Application expertise, product technical details & industry expertise
  • Diagnosing complex customer problems and proposing plans & solutions how to fix
  • Ability to draft/draw potential mechanical solutions for engineering is required.
  • Experience in system design and project management, sales experience advantageous.
  • Work in a global environment (multi-culture)

Travel Requirements

  • Travel activity <=30% annual average
  • Occasional travel to customer visits in coordination with the sales department
  • Occasional travel for customer projects
  • Occasional travel for coordination with Market and Production Organizations
