About this opportunity:
We are now looking for an Environment Health & Safety Subject Matter Authority, to provide comprehensive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) support for relevant organization, coordinate responsibilities to meet business needs and ensure compliance with EHS requirements and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and programs.- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend effective control measures to mitigate risks.
- Train and educate employees on EHS best practices and safety protocols.
- Lead incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety records, permits, and certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS standards into all operations.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate drills.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and implement necessary changes in safety protocols.
The skills you bring:
- Education: A recognized formal Environmental and/or OHS qualification e.g. degree or diploma (Example Post Grad / Degree and MSc in OHS Health and Safety Management or NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or other recognized certification.)
- Consistent track record and demonstrated ability.
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience in Telecommunication Industry, IT
