Business System Analyst

rhi is currently recruiting for a Business System Analyst to support and maintain the management information (MI) reporting system of our client's global energy brand across their UK & US business unit from Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This is an immediate start on a 12-month contract (To be reviewed to extended) Uniquely the working hours are 3pm to 12pm with WFH (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) Duties • Support and maintain the management information (MI) reporting system, ensuring timely execution of relevant tasks during reporting cycle, including reconciliations • Ensure data integrity by performing checks on data feeds, identifying discrepancies, and actively managing resolutions • Address ad hoc queries and liaise with third-party service providers and the Business Intelligence (BI) team to resolve technical issues • Build strong relationships with finance stakeholders to gather relevant information and insights for reporting data • Propose and support system and process improvements through project management, including the identification and implementation of new ideas • Collaborate with the finance stakeholders to automate and standardize reporting processes • Contribute to enhancing analytics, self-service, and ad hoc reporting capabilities across functions using existing or future tools (e.g. O365, Automation Anywhere) • Document processes and maintain up-to-date documentation Essential Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required • Ideally 5+ years in finance or business intelligence with understanding of MI data processes • Highly regarded is a knowledge of system processes especially in MI ( Management Information Reporting) • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or SQL programming language is an advantage Must have • Fluency in verbal and written English • Able to work in UK shift hours (KL time from 3pm to 12am) • Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to investigate data and processes to ensure consistency and propose system and process improvements • Openness to process development and automation • Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills with multiple stakeholders Benefits: • 12 month contract with a view to extend • The rate is between $9500/10000 MYR per month - Fixed • Work within a global oil & gas company • Exposure beyond Malaysia supporting UK & US business • 'Blue chip' day to day working environment - Large team environment Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
