1. Customer Service:
Greet and welcome guests, providing a positive first impression.
Assist with seating arrangements and guide guests through the dining experience.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
2. Order Taking:
Take and relay customer orders to the kitchen accurately.
Answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and inform guests about daily specials.
3. Table Maintenance:
Set up tables before service and ensure they are clean and properly arranged.
Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes and resetting for the next guests.
4. Food and Beverage Service:
Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
5. Upselling and Promotion:
Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to increase sales.
Upsell additional items or suggest complementary offerings to enhance the dining experience.
6. Payment Processing:
Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide change as needed.
7. Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floor.
Monitor restroom cleanliness and promptly address any issues.
8. Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service crew members.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
9. Reservation Management:
Manage restaurant reservations, including seating arrangements and timing.
Keep track of table availability and communicate effectively with the host/hostess.
10. Knowledge of Menu and Specials:
Stay informed about the menu, daily specials, and any changes. Provide accurate and detailed information to guests regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
11. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
Follow health and safety regulations, including food handling and hygiene practices. Promptly address and report any safety concerns.
12. Handling Guest Feedback:
Collect and relay guest feedback to management. Address customer complaints professionally and seek solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
13. Sales Reporting:
Report sales figures and contribute to performance evaluations as required.
