THE ROLE
As the Power BI Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Power BI solutions. You will work closely with
stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, ensuring that our data visualization
strategies align with business objectives and drive data-informed decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Power BI Initiatives:
o Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
o Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet their analytical needs.
Develop Best Practices:
o Establish best practices for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard design.
o Train and mentor team members and end-users on Power BI tools and capabilities.
Data Management:
o Work with data engineering and data governance teams to ensure the integrity, quality, and availability of data sources.
o Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability.
Stakeholder Engagement:
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
o Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key decision-makers.
Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and industry trends to continuously enhance our BI capabilities.
o Lead initiatives for data literacy within the organization, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience:
o 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields, with a strong focus on Power BI.
o Proven track record of delivering impactful Power BI solutions and leading BI initiatives.
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Skills:
o Proficient in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard design.
o Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights.
o Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling through data.
Attributes:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
o Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
o Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
